Tom and Kaley meet at the Ozark premiere, and it was fully love at first sight—which we know because she said as much to USA Today.
“We have the same manager, and we were set up by [her], which is so Hollywood,” Kaley said in May. “She’s like, ‘Oh my god, I think you guys are perfect for each other.’ We met at the Ozark premiere, and I was standing with Andrea and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice and I turned around, and it was like my life was over or just starting. It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life but I wasn’t ready for him. We’re ready to build a life together.”

“It is all so familiar and possible,” Tom mused in part. “It is too simple that there is this much good in the world and you don’t know how to have it. And it makes you wonder when it was you lost your place. Then you catch a breeze, so warm and ripe, it makes you hope that someone will come who also cannot save you but who will think you are worth saving.”

In an interview with People, Tom opens up about life as a new parent. “It’s amazing. It’s heaven, it’s challenging at times,” the actor says before adding, “It’s the most beautiful thing ever.”
He also speaks about raising his daughter with Kaley: “I’m so grateful to have a partner who I love to do it with because just two days with a baby in the house and I think of parents who are raising kids by themselves, and I don’t even understand how they do it. My respect for single parents has gone through the roof.”

During an interview with W Magazine, Tom recalls the first time Kaley met his family and they jokingly called her Penny—aka her character’s name on The Big Bang Theory.
“I had no clue what was going on,” he confesses to the outlet. “I pulled Kaley aside, like, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t understand what’s happening. Why does he keep calling you Penny?’ She’s like, ‘That’s my character in The Big Bang Theory.’”
At the time, Tom had “never” watched an episode of the hit sitcom. “I’ve watched a few episodes with her since. Obviously, she’s fantastic,” he adds during the convo. Yah, Tom. We’d def have to agree with that sentiment, lol.

The actor opens up to People during An Evening from the Heart, a gala presented by The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, and reveals that Matilda is currently in Philadelphia with Tom.
"Matilda is just the most special thing in the world. So I miss her a lot and I’ve been without her for a week so I'm ready to head back," she gushes of her bb before joking, "'Dad, dad,' everything 'Dad dad dad dad'...all she says is dad, dada.' It's her favorite frickin word. I'm like, 'Do you know the word mama? Have you ever heard it?' But it's all 'Dad. dad. dad.'"
