Shea Sprague has emphatic reaction to UNC double play during in-game interview
UNC pitcher Shea Sprague couldn’t contain his excitement as a double play occurred during an in-game interview Saturday. Sprague was answering questions in the fourth inning of a Super Regional matchup against West Virginia when a ball was hit toward center field. He paused in the middle of his answer as Vance Honeycutt secured the fly ball. (On3.com)

Diamond Heels driven to do more at College World Series in Omaha
As he walked out of the North Carolina baseball players' lounge at Boshamer Stadium on Saturday night, centerfielder Vance Honeycutt kept repeating the same thing. "We got a chance,” Honeycutt said, referring to the Tar Heels’ upcoming trip to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska as one of eight teams competing for a national championship. UNC Baseball College World Series Scheduling Possibilities
No. 4 seed North Carolina begins play in the program’s 12th College World Series this week in Omaha, Nebraska, potentially five wins away from a national championship. The Tar Heels (47-14) will face No. 12 Virginia (45-15) in their opener on Friday or Saturday at 2 p.m. or 7 p.m. on ESPN. The schedule is expected to be released no later than Monday. Carolina clinched a trip to the College World Series on Saturday. This is a team for which it's easy to root. Likable players, likable coaching staff, a knack for big moments. But this win is most important for the reestablishment of UNC's place on the national stage. It doesn't seem possible, but the Tar Heels have played only three games in Omaha since 2013.
