Compassionate Service

Award-Winning Care

One thing you'll hear often in our hospital is the question, “How can I serve you?” You’ll hear it from our spiritual ambassadors as they pray with you, from our team of physicians as they provide expert care, and from our nurses as they answer any questions you might have about your health or the services we offer.

A visit to AdventHealth Daytona Beach, formerly Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, is a visit to one of the top-rated hospitals in the U.S. We’ve been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Truven Health Analytics™, the most-preferred hospital in Volusia County since 2010 and earned an "A" rating from the Leapfrog Group every year since its inception. But you'll rarely hear us listing off our many accolades. While we’re proud of our award-winning care, our focus is the care we give to you. Our purpose is simple: to serve you in the best way possible. If we happen to win some awards in the process, well, that’s just a bonus.

You’ll find our chapels on the first floor by the café, on the fifth floor across from the waiting area, and in the Comprehensive Care Center behind the waterfall in the main lobby area. Prayer rooms are located by the nurses’ station in the Emergency Department, on the second floor by the waiting area in the Surgical Services Department, and on the third floor by the waiting area in the Cardiovascular Unit.

Health is your priority, not parking. Learn about the services we offer for a more low-stress journey.

We know a visit to the hospital can be stressful, but we're here to help. To make your visit easier, find out what to bring to the hospital (and what to leave at home):

  • Bring a list of allergies to food, medication, or other items.
  • Bring a list of prescriptions (including supplements like vitamins, over-the-counter medications, and herbals).
  • Bring a photo ID and your insurance card.
  • Bring personal items, such as pajamas, a toothbrush, and a comb.
  • Bring the phone number of an emergency contact (such as a relative or friend).
  • Don’t bring any food or snacks.
  • Don’t bring any medications.
  • Don’t bring any plug-in electrical appliances, like razors or curling irons.
  • Don’t bring any valuables (like watches, jewelry, credit cards, and money). Leave your possessions with loved ones for safekeeping.

A hospital stay can bring many visits and services from multiple medical providers. We know it’s hard to plan ahead for an emergency hospital visit, but if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your anticipated health care practitioners within the hospital to confirm they participate with your insurance provider. Services may be provided in the hospital by AdventHealth as well as by other health care practitioners who may bill you separately. By contacting your anticipated health care practitioners ahead of time, you can get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services to help avoid any unexpected challenges and fees.
