Learn More

You've read all the infant product reviews and birthing books, but as your belly grows, so does your list of questions. That’s why we offer a variety of educational resources and opportunities to help you feel prepared and empowered. These classes can include childbirth education classes, parenting courses, CPR training, and lactation support.

After you give birth, our eFlash newsletter and Mommy and Baby University support group (with newborn weigh-ins) help you stay connected to other moms and educators in the first few weeks and months after childbirth. There’s a lot to learn about the days ahead. Let us be your guide through it all. Learn about some of our upcoming classes and events and download our pregnancy care guide.

Once your baby’s here, your daily routines are about to change, but know that our care doesn’t end after you take your baby home. At every turn, our nurses and educators will be here to offer any help you need, including screening and support for postpartum depression.

The first year of motherhood can sometimes feel overwhelming. We do everything we can to help you become more confident as you embark on the journey of parenthood by offering some post-pregnancy classes and lectures, including:

Baby Bunch

A weekly gathering designed for moms of young babies, from newborn to 12 months old, with helpful discussions on feeding options, infant development; and maternal health.

Health Navigation

You're never alone on this journey through motherhood. Our Women's and Children's Health Navigation Team is here to provide support physically, emotionally and spiritual and connect you to care and education.

Contact Us

Above all, we want you to know you’re never alone, and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you’re not feeling quite like yourself and you’re concerned about your mental and spiritual well-being, ask for help, always.

We’ll be there to lift you up, and happily connect you with postpartum counselors and screenings. We’ll always be cheering you on and wishing the best for your growing family.

You may take comfort in our luxurious perks, but take heart that safety and security are our top priority. Board-certified obstetricians, gynecologists, and pediatric specialists are here to offer you some of the most-advanced maternity care in Central Florida, whether you're having a natural birth, a scheduled C-section, or anything in between. Our nationally ranked BirthCare Center has a prestigious "A" rating from The Leapfrog Group, as well as a Governor's Sterling Award for Performance Excellence. We're also proud to be one of the few hospitals in Florida to earn the Baby-Friendly Certification from the World Health Organization and UNICEF.

Our awards shine through our practices. AdventHealth Daytona Beach, formerly Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, guards our ward with a Hugs® Infant and Mother Protection security system, and you'll be able to walk around with our next-generation mobile fetal monitoring units while you labor. Everything we do is part of our commitment to making you feel secure and comfortable at each and every step of your birthing journey.

Preparing for your newborn’s arrival can be stressful, but we are here to help make it easier for you and your family. Here are some newborn resources below to review.

Find a Pediatrician

There is a lot to do when getting ready to welcome a new baby into the world. Our Health Navigators are registered nurses, here to help you and your family during this exciting time. Our team can help you find a pediatrician that fits with your family. Think of our team as your “new mom hotline.” Health navigation is a complimentary service. Infant Sleep Safety

Safe sleep greatly reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep accidents. By following infant sleep safety guidelines, parents and caregivers can rest a little easier knowing that their newborns are safe and sound as they sleep. Get to Know Our OB/GYN Hospitalists

Our OB/GYN hospitalist physicians and certified nurse midwives are clinical experts in obstetric care and gynecologic emergencies. They are on-site and available 24/7 at our Baby Place location to help with routine care and emergencies. Rest assured that they're available whenever you need them during your stay.

Since our hospitalist team focuses on caring for patients in the hospital, they do not have an outpatient clinic. All follow-up OB/GYN care would occur with a regular OB/GYN provider. Watch this short video to learn more about our OB/GYN hospitalists.

When you pre-register for your hospital stay, you can go right to your birthing room when you arrive on delivery day and complete the registration from the comfort of your bed.
