Great spot for an overnight stop on the way to our destination. Great dog park that was very large and got our dogs exhausted in no time running around. Very clean bathrooms. From the moment we showed up, Peter was there welcoming us and our dogs to the park and wished us well on our way out as we left.

The management make you feel at home the minute you arrive! The bounty of the small garden is offered to guests as they sign up. The office is clean and welcoming. They ask what you would like to see in the area and are eager offering maps and directions. The sites are VERY close, I kidded my brother that if we sat in our camp chairs we could rest our feet on the next door camper. The grass at the campsites could use watering during the day as sites empty... I am a grass person, hate rocks!... Read More

This was welcome as campground prices are skyrocketing making it difficult for senior campers on set incomes. Other than tight spaces this campground and the owners are top shelf!

The owners run a tight ship, in a good way, at this Sheridan, WY, RV park. It is just off I-90 on the edge of downtown. They have all pull-thru, full hookup sites with 50/30 amp service. The park is clean and well maintained with super clean bathrooms. They tell you upfront that their restrooms are "super clean" which sets an expectation that they deliver on. Other parks should take note of how to use enough of the right kind of gravel to reduce dust. Spaces are a little tight and trees would be nice. The owners are super nice and engaged with their customers. Essentially, this park delivers what most RVers are looking for. We paid $40.70 per night.

We booked a few nights here to relax. That was a mistake! The owner is a micromanager at best and a tyrant at the worst. We were only here a few hours and already he has been after us three times for different, minor "infractions" in his book, none of which were listed in the park rules. The facility itself is clean and beautiful, probably the cleanest bathroom and laundry we have seen. If the owner weren't such a tyrant, I would have given this park 5 stars, even if the site was too short... Read More

Also, no trees at all in the camping area, so the sun beats down on you and you can't put your awnings all the way out because of the narrow sites. Stay away unless you don't mind being bossed around. At this park, the customer is NEVER right!

This was our second stay at this campground. It is visible from I-90, so there is some traffic sound, but not disturbing. Pads are gravel with grass. Sites are level. Full hook ups with cable service. Campground is neat and clean ... some of the surrounding area is "unsightly", but tolerable. Hosts are very friendly. I nice stop.

I agree with the Good Sam rating of Peter D's RV Park. The park has very good 50 amp power, very clean and new bathrooms, large laundry with new washers and dryers, and satisfactory WiFi signal. Peter D's is a good place to stay overnight or several days if visiting the Sheridan WY area. I'd stay here again.

The host was so helpful and gracious. As my wife said, the restrooms were cleaner than any hospitals! What a pleasure and a surprise!

The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
10 10 10
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
10 10 10
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
10 10 10
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
